  • Phil Steele Tabs Three Gators as Preseason All-Americans
    The Gators had three players receive preseason All-American honors along with 10 players gaining preseason All-SEC honors in Phil Steele's Preseason Awards released Tuesday.
  • ESPN Reopens College GameDay Commercial Fan Vote
    After determining the integrity and accuracy of the vote had been compromised, ESPN has decided to reopen the voting with a clean slate for the College GameDay commercial fan vote. With increased levels of security, the voting will begin on Tuesday, May 1 and continue through Thursday, May 10.
  • Ticket Office Accepting Single Game Orders for 2012 Gator Football Home Games
    The Gator Ticket Office is now accepting single game ticket orders from all fans for the 2012 Gators Home football game schedule. All games are available for sale with the exception of LSU and South Carolina which are sold out. Single game tickets start at $35 each and are available first come, first sold until sold out.
  • Chris Rainey Drafted by Pittsburgh Steelers in the Fifth Round
    Former Florida running back Chris Rainey (Lakeland, Fla.) has been selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 24th pick of the fifth round (159 overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft, becoming the second Gator selected in this year's Draft. It marks the 32nd consecutive year that multiple Gators have been drafted.
  • Jaye Howard Drafted by Seattle Seahawks in the Fourth Round
    Former Florida defensive tackle Jaye Howard (Apopka, Fla.) has been selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 19th pick of the fourth round (114th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft, becoming the first Gator selected in this year's Draft. The University of Florida has had a player selected in every NFL Draft since 1951.
  • Gators Assistant Bryant Young Took an Off-Broadway Approach to NFL Draft
    The NFL Draft analysts have worked overtime lately dissected players like frogs in a biology class. They have studied and reviewed everything from the players' times in the 40 to how much their weight fluctuated in college to their potential branding power in the NFL.
  • Muschamp Much More at Home in Year 2 of Speaking Tour
    As waves crashed onshore just outside the door here Tuesday night, Gators coach Will Muschamp met with a small group of reporters inside a small room at the Daytona Resort and Conference Center. One asked if Year 2 of Muschamp's annual speaking tour around the state at Gator Gatherings seemed different now that introductions are out of the way.
