For the 10th consecutive season, the University of Florida softball team will host a NCAA Regional at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium after securing the No. 5 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the Gators' fifth –consecutive season boasting a top-five national seed.

Freshman Bailey Castro (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), pinch hitting in the top of the eighth for the Orange and Blue, ripped her sixth blast of the season over the left-center fence on a full count to take the Gator softball team up 2-1 over Tennessee and propel UF to its first SEC Tournament Championship Game appearance since winning it all in 2009.

Freshman righty Lauren Haeger (Peoria, Ariz.) tossed a two-hit shutout and classmate Sami Fagan (Dunnellon, Fla.) slapped a one-run bouncer through the middle for Florida's fifth-inning score as the Gator softball team defeated the No. 6 seed LSU, 1-0, to advance to the SEC Tournament semifinals in Tuscaloosa.
