- Florida Volleyball Adds Additional Three to Already Stellar Signing Class
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Florida volleyball team adds outside hitter iva Recek (pronounced Ghee-vah Res-ick) (Ljubljana, Slovenia), libero Nikki O'Rourke (Clearwater, Fla.) and outside hitter Jackie Swalchick (Melbourne, Fla.) to an already outstanding 2012 class, Florida head coach Mary Wise announced on Friday. Recek, O'Rourke and Swalchick join fellow incoming freshmen Dana Backlund (Wildomar, Calif.), Gabby Mallette (Orange Park, Calif.) and early enrollee Berkley Whaley (Saint Petersburg, Fla.) as a member of next season's freshman class, as well as redshirt freshman Simone Antwi (Lorton, Va.).

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida volleyball team was part of a unique opportunity on Wednesday evening, as members of the 2012 team scrimmaged against Gator volleyball alumni at the L. Gale Lemerand Center. Among the alumni participating were Cassandra Anderson (Bakersfield, Calif.), Lauren Bledsoe (Long Beach, Calif.), Kristy Jaeckel (Littleton, Colo.), Benavia Jenkins (Fort Pierce, Fla.) and Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.).

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore middle blocker Chloe Mann (Gainesville, Fla.) is one of 48 athletes with collegiate eligibility remaining to participate in this summer's U.S. Women's National A2 Team Program.
- Florida's SEC Gymnastics, Soccer & Volleyball Schedules Released for 2012-13 Season
With the addition of two institutions to the Southeastern Conference beginning next fall, there will also be expansion to the league's sports schedules. The SEC announced its conference schedules for gymnastics, soccer and volleyball for the 2012-13 seasons.
- Two Florida Volleyball Players to Participate In US National Team Tryouts
GAINESVILLE, Fla. Two Florida volleyball players will be among the record 208 athletes set to participate in open tryouts for the U.S. Women's National Team and the U.S. Women's National A2 Program. The tryouts take place Feb. 10-12, 2012, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
- Jaeckel and Murphy Named Volleyball Magazine All-Americans
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida seniors Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.) and Kristy Jaeckel (Littleton, Colo.) added more accolades to their Gator legacies as they were both honored as 2011 NCAA Division I Women's All-Americans in the February issue of Volleyball Magazine. Murphy and Jaeckel, now playing professionally together for the Guaynabo Mets out of Puerto Rico, were named first team and third team, respectively.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. 10 University of Florida volleyball players have been named to the Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll for their strong performances in the classroom, the league offices in Birmingham, Ala., announced Wednesday.

Reflecting on the achievements and accomplishments of the 2011 season, the University of Florida volleyball team hosted its annual banquet at the Don and Irene Dizney Gator Room in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Sunday evening.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida volleyball team, coming off its first Elite Eight appearance since 2005, finished its 2011 campaign ranked No. 11 in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, marking the 21st consecutive season that the Gators are among the nation's top-15 in the final poll.
